Program Overview

The Commercial Pilot License (CPL) program at Telangana State Aviation Academy (TSAA) is designed to transform aspiring aviators into professional pilots. With DGCA approval (No. 02/2016 valid up to 07/01/2028), the course equips cadets with advanced flying skills, simulator training, and theoretical knowledge to operate commercial aircraft confidently and safely. More than 1500 students have been trained since inception, making TSAA one of India’s leading Flight Training Organizations.

Eligibility

• Minimum age: 17 years
• Education: 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and English (NIOS or equivalent)
• Medical: Valid DGCA Class I or II Medical Certificate
• English proficiency: Verbal and written
• Police verification required

Course Details

• Duration: 16–18 months (Force Majeure up to 36 months)
• Total Flying Hours: 200 (Single Engine: 185 hrs, Multi Engine: 15 hrs)
• Instrument Flying: 20 hrs
• Simulator Training: 20 hrs (Single & Multi Engine)

• In-house DGCA-approved maintenance facilities
• Ground School & Simulators available (Single i-Gate, Multi DA42 canopy)

Employment Assistance

TSAA provides in-house employment opportunities such as Ground Instructors, SIM Instructors, and Assistant Flight Instructors. Cadets also receive guidance for airline preparation and career progression.
